I received my 2005/2006 Perth Entertainment Book today. One thing I find frustrating when using it is being able to identify restaurants by location and discount. The vast majority of the restaurant coupons in sections A, B, and C are either 25% off the total bill. or 2-for-1 main course.
To make the book easier to use, I go through each section's table of contents and highlight the restaurants that have the 2-for-1 coupons. This is a bit of pain to do since they are sorted by area and name. Then you have to look up the coupon itself to see the discount. I have a spreadsheet that does this work me and makes marking the 2-for-1 offers easy. I've posted the results here on the blog entry incase any one else wants to mark their book the same way.

Dude, this is a thoughtful gesture for others, but makes me worry that:
1) You have waaaaay too much time on your hands and your hobby of collecting European leader bobbleheads isn't really paying off like you thought it would.
2) You have difficulty sleeping and don't get porn pay channels on the cable box.
3) You have undiagnosed obsessive-compulsive disorder and this sort of activity is "soothing" to you.
4) You have lost your job, are too embarrassed to admit it to your family and friends, and just made this list to keep you busy and make sure your Excel skills stay sharp.
THANK GOD!! I had only made lists for my Melbourne and Sydney Entertainment Books. The thought of slaving away over the Perth Edition was just too daunting of a task for me and would have interfered with my efforts to make a complete count of all migrating wing-footed boobie birds. Not to mention, where would I find time to notate and report all streetlights and traffic signals that are on the fritz in Oz (listing them in order from east-to-west, with priority given to busier intersections, of course)? Finally, I would have had to shelve my efforts to translate both the Bible AND the Periodic Table of the Elements into Klingon!

Oh for Christ sake. This took me 20 minutes, tops, to knock out over lunch. You guys make it sound like I'm sort of anal control freak or something.
When I was 19, I worked one summer as a 10 key data entry operator. I pickup up the skill of being able to enter numbers as fast as I can read them, which is pretty fast. That is, without lifting my eyes from the page I am reading.
I can enter all the coupon numbers from the book in about 10 minutes. Then using simple Access sorting and formatting, I can crank out this cross-reference list in 10 more minutes.
Now when I'm driving around and want to find he best dinner deal, I have my book pre-marked with those specials. Well worth 20 minutes of time to save $500 dollars over the year.
